Sydney-based wealth management firm, Stanford Brown, has appointed Kaplan director, Don Stammer, as an external consultant to their Lunar Investment Committee.

Stammer was also an adviser to the Third Link Growth Fund and Altius Asset Management.

Stanford Brown chief executive, Jonathan Hoyle, said: "He brings with him a wealth of experience and a wise head to guide us through the next market cycle".

"Together with the recent recruitment of Ashley Owen as chief investment officer, we now have a genuinely world-class investment committee to oversee the management of our new discretionary managed accounts," he said.

Stammer had over 45 years of experience across financial services, including roles such as deputy chief manager of the Reserve Bank of Australia, director, investment strategy, at Deutsche Bank Australia, and director of ING Australia.

His retail funds management experience included many years on the investment committees of different wealth management organisations.
