PIMCO expands client analytics team

Investment management firm PIMCO has appointed Dr Laura Ryan as vice president, client analytics.

Her role will include developing models and research related to client problems and solutions, including asset allocation, risk factor budgeting, strategies, and product development.

She will report to managing director and portfolio manager Robert Mead in Sydney and executive vice president and global head of client analytics Sebastien Page in California.

Ryan has 14 years' experience, and was previously at AustralianSuper, where she did quantitative strategy research for the equity and asset allocation teams.

She has also worked at the Commonwealth Bank as a quantitative strategy manager, where she did quantitative strategy research for the fixed income clients, and AMP Capital Investors (AMPCI) as quantitative manager, where she did research for the AMPCI Structured Products group.
