NAB appoints group chief people officer
National Australia Bank (NAB) has appointed Susan Ferrier as group chief people officer, commencing 1 October 2019, subject to regulatory approvals.
Ferrier was appointed due to previous experience in the role, as well as other senior executive human resources roles in Australia and overseas.
She had worked with boards and executive teams in sectors across global financial services, including HSBC, Deutsche Bank, ING Barings, Barclays and most recently at KPMG.
Philip Chronican, NAB chief executive officer and chairman-elect, said Ferrier had a passion for developing diverse and inclusive workplaces.
“She is a deeply experienced human resources executive who has led large transformation and culture change programs, increasing leadership capability and engagement,” Chronican said.
