Milford AM hires portfolio manager
Milford Asset Management has hired Dan Simmonds to its Australian investment team as a global income portfolio manager.
He will work closely with David Lewis, portfolio manager of the $2.6 billion Milford Diversified Income fund.
Simmonds joined from his role as a portfolio manager at a single family office but previously spent seven years at RARE Infrastructure as a portfolio manager and senior investment analyst and at CP2 (Capital Partners).
Milford chief investment officer, Wayne Gentle, said: “We’re excited to welcome someone of Dan’s calibre to the Milford investment team. Milford has a focus on delivering strong long-term investment returns for clients.
“Dan’s expertise in global income securities is essential in a low growth low interest rate environment where clients are demanding stable low-risk income.”
Milford was founded in 2003 and had $7.5 billion in funds under management.
