MetLife rolls out rehab program

Major insurer MetLife announced this week it is rolling out what it describes as a holistic rehabilitation program aimed at accelerating the recovery of claims with psychological and physical conditions.
The said the "Reactive Program" was being rolled out across its national network following the completion of a successful trial.
It said the program had been developed by Ian Stephens of enRich Training and Development and was purpose-designed to help people on claim avoid long-term incapacity by giving them the confidence and skills necessary to regain control over their lives and return to fulfilling employment.
Commenting on the initiative, MetLife's chief operating officer, Luke Banfield said the program marked an alternative approach to managing disability claims.
"We're confident it will deliver both short and long-term benefits for claimants, such as improved motivation, life skills and the confidence to return to employment," he said.
