Mercer appoints people, culture leader
Mercer has appointed former KPMG execute, Gaye Morris, as its people and culture leader, to lead the function for Mercer Pacific’s 2,000-strong workforce across Australia and New Zealand.
Morris has over 20 years’ experience as a senior human resources executive in the financial services sector, including head of people experience and reward at KPMG.
She also held roles at ANZ in a range of senior HR positions, including global functional HR roles with large, geographically dispersed teams.
Chief executive, Ben Walsh, said Morris’ broad experience in HR in both advisory firms and financial services organisations would help strengthen the capabilities of its workforce at a time of major change and transformation.
“We’re in a transformative time with the emergence of a next generation workforce,” said Morris. “I look forward to shaping and equipping Mercer’s workforce with the skills and learning opportunities that help drive positive outcomes for our clients and for our people, now and into the future.”
