KPMG appoints life insurance sector lead partner

KPMG has appointed Pauline Blight-Johnston as life insurance sector lead partner in its actuarial and financial risk practice.

She would be responsible for local and international growth opportunities and strategy, broadening the firm’s relationship with key partners.

She would join KPMG on 8 October 2019 and would lead the firm’s life insurance sector, joining from Challenger where she was general manager, group strategy.

Before Challenger she was group executive, insurance, superannuation and risk management at AMP, she had also served as the managing director for AMP Life Limited, and worked for the National Mutual Life Association of Australasia (NMLA).

Blight-Johnston said she was honoured for the opportunity to join the actuarial and financial risk management consulting practice.

“I very much look forward to working with the KPMG team and others across the industry to help reshape the financial services industry to better meet the needs of all Australians that rely on us to provide financial peace of mind,” Blight-Johnston said.
