IOOF hires regulation and remediation expert
The day after announcing the resignation of its chief executive amongst regulatory controversy with the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), IOOF has made a key appointment with David Flynn joining the business as head of advice governance.
Pertinently, Flynn would bring years of experience in leading regulatory and remediation programs. Most recently, he was program director for Westpac Group’s structured advice remediation program for BT Financial Group.
Flynn had also led teams through transformational growth periods, and had worked at ANZ, ING Australia, and Zurich.
“With his deep understanding of the regulatory and professional requirements for the industry, strong focus on governance, and extensive experience leading large teams, he will be a great addition to our advice business,” IOOF general manager advice, Darren Whereat, said about Flynn.
