FSI appoints responsible investment specialist
First Sentier Investors (FSI), formerly Colonial First State Global Asset Management, has appointed Kate Turner as responsible investment specialist.
Turner brought responsible and sustainable investment expertise, along with commercial and environmental, social and governance (ESG) data and analytical experience.
Based in Sydney, she would report to London-based FSI global head of responsible investment, Will Oulton.
Oulton said Turner would play an integral role in supporting their investment teams, and work with clients and other stakeholders in Australia and New Zealand.
“The investment teams’ commitment to incorporating ESG principles across their processes and strategies is central to their investment approach, and underpins our corporate identity,” Oulton said.
“Our strategic approach to responsible investment focuses on enhancing the quality and relevance of our investment capabilities for the benefit of our clients.
“This approach is rigorously informed by over a decade of experience in striving to understand how ESG issues impact long-term investment returns.”
Previously, Turner was an associate director at Sustainalytics, leading its business in Australia and New Zealand.
She had also held roles at ICBC Standard Bank in London and Baker & McKenzie in Sydney.
