The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) will soon add three new executive general managers to its leadership group, while the first terms of office of its directors have expired, resulting in a round of appointments and reappointments.

The three new executive general managers will be part of a revamped senior leadership group, FOS announced in its latest quarterly update.

That group will now consist of the chief ombudsman, three lead ombudsmen and the three executive general managers, which will take effect following the appointments in July and August this year.

"We will also be moving some teams within the organisation to better align our structure with our goals, priorities and processes," FOS stated.

Independent chair of the board Michael Lavarch was reappointed, as were consumer directors David Coorey, Catriona Lowe, Jenni Mack and Denis Nelthorpe.

Industry director Russell McKimm was reappointed, joined by new industry directors Jennifer Darbyshire and Chris McRae, while Robert Belleville continues his term until February 2013.
