Financial services company Capital Group has appointed Guy Henriques as its new head of Europe and Asia Distribution, commencing from November in London.

He had over 30 years’ experience and most recently served as head of UK distribution and chief executive for Latin America for Schroders.

He had also served as head of the Schroders Institutional Global Management Team, president of Schroders Japan, and head of official institutions and head of institutional for Asia-Pacific which was based in London and then in Hong Kong.

Before Schroders, he was head of asset management at the Bank for International Settlements where he worked from 1991 to 2006.

Hamish Forsyth, Capital Group’s president of Europe and Asia, said the appointment came off the back of the significant strides in growth they had made in the region.

“This has included delivering more investment offerings, establishing permanent sales presences in several critical financial centres, and better leveraging our global marketing capabilities, Guy’s appointment to Capital Group will accelerate these trends,” Forsyth said.
