Australian Ethical reaches board balance
Australian Ethical has achieved 50 per cent female board representation via a new appointment.
The fund manager announced this week it had appointed former IOOF executive, Julie Orr as a non-executive director.
The announcement said Orr had over 25 years of experience in executive roles including general manager Operations for IOOF; Director Finance India and Asia Pacific for Standard and Poor’s; Head of Research for Morningstar; Chief Operating Officer at Intech; and Senior Audit Manager with Ernst & Young.
Orr holds directorships at Ord Minnett Limited and Perennial Value Management Limited.
Commenting on the appointment, Australian Ethical chairman Steve Gibbs commented that Orr was a highly experienced executive with deep operational and industry expertise.
“Her skillset will support the ongoing growth of our business,” he said.
