Australian Ethical re-opens grants program
Australian Ethical has opened its community grants program, offering $300,000 for charitable organisations and social impact initiatives that do tangible good for the planet, people and animals.
Managing director of Australian Ethical Investment, Phil Vernon, said business can and should make a positive impact on the world by supporting “grassroots efforts”.
“Our continued growth means we have more money available for grants this year than ever before,” he said.
Since the grants program began in 2000, Australian Ethical has donated almost $2.5 million to organisations both locally and internationally. Of the 450 applicants last year, 14 charities were chosen with Australian Ethical donating $280,000 in grants in total.
“We’re looking forward to partnering with more organisations this year, to make a positive impact,” said Vernon.
