Australian Ethical hires COO
Australian Ethical has appointed Kim Heng as chief operating officer, responsible for managing all product and operational activities, which would bring the firm’s gender diversity at senior management to just under a 50/50 split (44 per cent female to 56 per cent male).
Phil Vernon, managing director, said Heng would bring significant operational and industry expertise to the organisation as it is actively sought out by investors for its ethical conviction.
Vernon used the announcement to call out gender diversity issues in Australian workplaces, highlighting that it was a social inequity that wasn’t reflective of society.
“Having a diversified workplace brings a broad perspective that better enables us to service our clients and position us for long-term, sustainable success,” he said.
