AMP to use Morningstar as external research provider
AMP has appointed Morningstar as the external research provider for its advice business to enhance investment research and governance of its approved product lists, direct equities offer and managed portfolios.
Acting group executive, David Akers, said Morningstar would strengthen the investment expertise offered by AMP’s advice licensees by supporting research quality and insight to advisers.
The research house would assume a range of services for AMP’s advice licensees, including the provision of recommendations for funds within its Research Choice portfolios, reporting on the performance of the portfolios, providing managed funds research and delivering advice to AMP’s investment management committee.
