AMP Capital MAG names new CIO
AMP Capital has appointed Debbie Alliston, who is currently AMP Capital’s head of multi-asset portfolio management, to chief investment officer of the firm’s multi-asset group (MAG), effective immediately.
Alliston would have responsibility for the portfolio management, dynamic markets, market solutions and tailored investment solutions teams.
At the same time, she would continue to be responsible for portfolio management of the Future Directions and AMP Lifecycle funds.
Prior to joining AMP Capital, Alliston served as investment director at Apostle Asset Management where she managed the affiliate program, including investment due diligence and manager selection and review.
AMP Capital global head of public markets, Simon Warner, to whom she would report, said it was a key appointment for the business.
“Debbie is ideally placed to take on this role, and deliver superior outcomes for our clients, having been the head of multi-asset portfolio management for seven years,” Warner said.
“I’m very pleased to announce that Debbie will be leading the multi-asset business. Her appointment is another great example of promoting quality talent from within our organisation.”
AMP Capital MAG aimed to deliver tailored investment solutions including asset allocation, manager selection and portfolio construction and had more than A$62 billion in multi-asset funds under management.
