AIA to pilot mental health tech
As mental health awareness grows among corporates, AIA Australia and New Zealand has announced it would launch a pilot corporate health program, provided by mental health tech company, Medibio, for its staff.
AIA employees would have access to Medibio’s corporate health program for six months, which promoted mental wellness by checking and monitoring symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress.
The life insurer’s chief executive, Damien Mu, said while awareness of the breadth and impact of mental health issues in Australia was increasing, people did not reach out to their support network or employer until late in the process.
Mu said the firm recognised the crucial role mental health played in an individual’s overall health, and wanted to be involved in early intervention, education and awareness.
