AFA appoints GM, strategic alliances
The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has appointed David Plant as general manager of strategic alliances.
Plant has spent over 30 years in the financial services industry in senior roles in licensee operations, business coaching and customer service, and has worked collaboratively with regulators.
In his new role, Plant would be responsible for building and enhancing mutually beneficial alliances across the spectrum of financial advice.
Plant said he was keen to join the AFA as the industry enters a new era of advice, and he expressed the importance of improving the reputation and professionalism of the industry.
AFA chief executive, Phil Kewin, said Plant’s appointment would benefit the AFA community, and he was on board with the AFA’s vision around the future of advice.
