AFA adds to leadership team
The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has appointed Cameron Burne as general manager – partnerships.
Burne had over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, specialising in wealth management, insurance and superannuation.
He previously held roles as a financial adviser, business development and account management role, and was most recently partnership manager at AMP Financial Planning.
Candice Spence had also been appointed general manager – marketing; she had 25 years’ experience as a marketing and communications executive in the financial services sector, specialising in financial advice, superannuation, investments and trustee services.
She had held a number of senior marketing roles at BT and Zurich, and most recently led marketing at IOOF.
Phil Anderson, AFA Acting chief executive, said: “They are both highly skilled, seasoned professionals that join the AFA as we celebrate our 75th anniversary and build on our solid foundations.
“They will be integral to helping the AFA achieve its strategic objectives and mission to support our essential and valuable advice community.”
