Ray Miles starts over

Industry veteran Ray Miles has confirmed he will create a new dealer group under the banner Fortnum Financial Advisers, with plans to officially open doors early next year.
Miles was the former managing director of Associated Planners/Genesys Wealth Advisers. A statement from Miles announcing his plans said Fortnum would "represent a new approach - an attempt to build the next generation of dealer groups".
"We will be taking the best parts of the Associated Planners' model and adapting it to where we believe to be the future of advice," Miles said.
"We're building a dealer group from scratch that will be majority owned by the principal practices, a financial institution and Fortnum staff."
Miles has already recruited former Associated Planners and Genesys employees Sue Hunt and Wayne Mitchell.
