Lonsdale Financial Group has joined Centric Wealth and Financial Services Partners as dealer groups that supply PlanTech software to their risk advisers.

Lonsdale managing director Mario Modica said PlanTech’s Risk Researcher program was being rolled out to the group’s risk advisers yesterday.

PlanTech replaces Boss as Lonsdale’s risk software provider.

“The decision [to change provider] was made primarily through our risk people here because they wanted a web-based solution instead of the old desktop-based system. The web based [PlanTech] software provides automatic upgrades of all research and all the versions are current,” explained Modica.

Modica said PlanTech was also selected on the strength of its reputation.

“PlanTech is a market leader, it’s got a heavy usage among risk writers,” he said.

Centric Wealth, the recently formed amalgamation of Berkley Group and Centrestone Wealth Advisers, signed-up to use PlanTech for its risk and practice management capabilities in late November this year.

Financial Services Partners struck a similar deal with PlanTech on November 9.
