Accounting dealer group signs on OneVue platform

OneVue has tied up with specialist dealer group, Accountable Financial Solutions (Accountable) as its digital platform provider.
Accountable, which provides licensing and advice services for accountants, will use OneVue's platform that offer superannuation and investment product solutions for its scalable advice solutions for accountants.
Accountable executive director, Tony Zulli, said accountants had not been associated with platform providers until now.
"Yet they are interested in having a discussion on how they can offer products and services that are relatively simple and easy to deliver to their clients," Zulli said.
The appointment comes as the Investment Trends 2015 SMSF Accounting Report found accountants wanted good tax reporting capabilities in platforms to self-managed superannuation funds (SMSF).
The OneVue and Investment Trends survey of 1,647 accountants in public practice found that from the 38,000 accountants in public practice, about 87 per cent were advising on SMSFs but only around eight per cent currently have Australian financial services licences.
From July 2016, accountants who provide strategic advice to SMSF clients will need to become licensed to provide the advice.
