Zenith Investment Partners has initiated coverage on the Fidelity Global Emerging Markets Fund and gave the fund a ‘recommended’ rating.

The fund was recognised for its “high conviction exposure to emerging markets equities”, Zenith said.

“Zenith has a high regard for Fidelity’s well-structured investment process and believes that the portfolio manager’s ability to leverage Fidelity’s well regarded emerging equities investment team is a distinct advantage for the fund,” the rating agency said.

The fund is managed by Alex Duffy and supported by Fidelity’s global research team of 135 equity analysts.

Fidelity International, Australia’s managing director, Alva Devoy, said: “We invest heavily in our global research capabilities in order to do this and are pleased that Zenith has recognised this”.

“Emerging markets offer investors a unique opportunity to tap into some of the fastest growing economies in the world but they aren’t without risks.”

According to FE Analytics’ data, the Fidelity Global Emerging Markets Fund has returned 11.01 per cent since inception to 31 October.
