ClearView recruits underwriting veteran
Publicly-listed insurance group, ClearView has recruited a former AIA Australia executive as its new chief underwriter.
The company announced this week it had appointed former AIA Australia NSW State underwriting and operations manager, Warren Page, to the position.
It said it was doing so at a time when it was seeking to narrow the gap between underwriters and advisers, and spend more time explaining the underwriting process.
Page was also previously chief underwriter at AMP and has 30 years’ industry experience including 25 years of underwriting experience.
In his new role, Page will be responsible for leading ClearView’s national underwriting team and partnering with the group’s reinsurer to evolve underwriting processes.
Commenting on the appointment, ClearView managing director, Simon Swanson said Page was a highly experienced underwriting professional who was highly regarded by his peers and financial advisers.
