MLC Private Equity names new US head
Australian private equity business, MLC Private Equity has appointed Marek Herchel as the firm’s new head of Americas.
He would be expected to join the company on 19 June.
Herchel, who has 19 years of professional investment experience, worked for 13 years at AlpInvest Partners, where he was responsible for building the firm’s US market presence across its funds, co-investment and secondaries verticals.
Most recently, he was a member of the global investment committee and the managing director responsible for the firm’s primary investment activities in the Americas.
MLC’s head of private equity, Alicia Gregory, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Marek to the team, to spearhead our business in the US.
“Marek’s wealth of experience in building and managing successful private equity programs and teams will ensure our continued investment success, spanning almost 20 years, in North and Latin America.”
