Payback’s a bitch

One of Outsider’s favourite movie lines is “payback’s a bitch” and he notices that there’s now even a song by the same name written by a band of minstrels going by the name of Blackberry Smoke.

It is with this favourite movie line in mind, that Outsider last week viewed the Australian Securities Exchange announcement that Michael Ohanessian had resumed his role as chief executive of financial services technology firm, Praemium.

You see Ohanessian was somewhat unceremoniously dumped by the board of Praemium, the same board which was in early May dumped by shareholders in a move which led to the restoration of Ohanessian.

Also noted by Outsider was that not only had Ohanessian been restored, he was likely to be getting a better package of pay and conditions.

All of which brings Outsider to consider the lyrics of the song penned by those Blackberry Smoke minstrels :

"If I were you, I'd sleep with one eye open
I'd keep praying keep hoping
You oughta be watching your back
If I were you, I'd be looking over my shoulder
'Cause every day gets closer to what's coming for you
Payback's a bitch".

A bitch, indeed.
