BNY Mellon wins Commonwealth Bank mandate

Newton Investment Management, part of BNY Mellon Investment Management, has been awarded a mandate from Commonwealth Bank Group Superannuation scheme.

Newton’s Global Real Return strategy applies a multi-asset approach while investing in traditional assets such as equities, bonds and selective alternative securities.

BNY Mellon investment Management Australia’s country head, Phil Filippelis, said: “Newton’s Global Real Return strategy balances the need for outcome based solutions with capital preservation, two important characteristics investors are seeking in these uncertain times”.

“Launched in 2004, the strategy has a long and successful track record managing assets throughout various market cycles.”

Newton’s Real Return team currently manages $26 billion on behalf of institutions, charities, corporations and private individuals in the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific and the United States.
