First female co-chair for First Super
Industry superannuation fund, First Super, has appointed its first female co-chair.
The fund, which covers the timber, pulp, paper and furniture industry, last week announced the appointment of former Victorian Association of Forestry industries chief executive, Lisa Marty as co-chair.
It said Marty, 37, was believed to be the youngest woman to be appointed as a chair or co-chair of a super fund and had been a director of First Super for the past four years.
Former co-chair, Allan Stewart, stepped down from the role this week, but remains a director of the fund. He was co-chair of First Super since the fund was created in 2008.
Michael O'Connor continues to hold the other co-chair position.
