Hyperion appoints new equity dealer
Hyperion Asset Management has expanded its investment team by appointing Justin Breen as a new equity dealer.
Breen was previously a derivatives trader at listed integrated energy company, ERM Power Limited, and was one of three traders who co-managed a $4 billion energy portfolio.
Hyperion managing director, Tim Samway, said: "Justin is an experienced trader with an impressive track record and we are fortunate to be able to bring him on board."
Samway expected that Breen's considerable financial analysis and trading experience would complement the already robust investment team.
Breen's appointment also allowed Michael Mewburn to move in to a full time analytical role in Hyperion's investment team.
Breen said he wanted to join Hyperion as it had a long history of producing strong investor returns.
"The opportunity to trade global markets and analyse businesses is very appealing, and I'm looking forward to being part of Hyperion's collaborative and high preforming investment team," Breen said.
