Zurich Financial Services Australia has announced a number of underwriting appointments to their Victoria and New South Wales teams.
General manager of life risk Australia, Colin Morgan, said the new Victorian appointments are Shireen Dixon and Maha Raslan. Dixon has 10 years experience in the industry and joined Zurich from Aviva, while Raslan joined the company from Tower, where she spent four years.
Zurich has made two further managerial underwriting appointments, based in Sydney.
With previous experience at firms such as Asteron and MLC, Simon Cranley has joined Zurich as technical underwriting manager and Charles Harris is the new underwriting manager.
His previous experience includes performing roles for Tower, as well as Allied Dunbar and Scottish Provident in the United Kingdom.
Morgan said the expansion of the risk teams came about in Zurich’s bid to increase its share in specific market segments.
