SMSF Association appoints patron to succeed Mason
Former World Vision Australia chief executive, Reverend Tim Costello will take on the position of patron of the association at the SMSF Association, succeeding former High Court of Australia chief justice, Sir Anthony Mason.
Reverend Costello, the current chief advocate of World Vision Australia would replace the inaugural patron effective 6 September.
Commenting on the appointment, SMSF Association chairman, Andrew Gale, said: “Tim is the ideal person to step into the very big shoes of Sir Anthony and fill this important position.”
“He is one of Australia’s best-known community leaders and a sought-after voice on social justice issues, leadership and ethics.”
Costello is the current Baptist minister at St Kilda Baptist and Collins Street Baptist churches in central Melbourne.
