Dummett returns to ClearView/Matrix fold
Financial Services group, ClearView has appointed co-founder of Matrix Planning Solutions, Allison Dummett, to the newly-created role of head of strategic advice.
In doing so, the firm said it was aiming to enhance its levels of professional financial advice and practice to meet improved client outcomes, after it acquired Matrix in 2014.
Dummett served as managing director of Matrix from 1999-2007 and will work within the new strategic advice role to boost profitability and meet an extended number of client requests, including fee for service advice for debt, cash flow, tax and life goals.
ClearView's strategic advice initiative is aimed at supporting advisers to give better advice in areas clients find most valuable," she said.
Dummett, who is the current chair of SmartPlanner Group, will join ClearView from Count Financial where she worked on the senior executive team with the accounting-based dealer group for two years.
Dummett said her return to the Matrix family with ClearView will see it functioning as a client, rather than product centred business and will report to chief executive, Todd Kardash, who has worked within the financial group since 2011.
"ClearView has a sharp focus on helping advisors deliver quality strategic advice and build more efficient, profitable growing businesses," said Kardash.
"Allison will drive the delivery of professional service advice across the group."
ClearView has over 60,000 insurance policies in force, currently managing $6.9 billion in funds under advice and $148 million worth of life insurance under advice and will focus on improving its client relations and services under Dummett's direction.
"Allison is a highly experienced and highly respected professional," said Kardash.
"She is a very knowledgeable, capable and welcome addition to our team."
