Fund manager, Contango Asset Management, has added further depth to its investment team, announcing the appointment of two new associate analysts.

The company announced this week it had appointed Xia Wu and Eric Tan in August as part of its growth plans.

Wu holds a Masters in Finance from The University of Melbourne, and has worked as an international trade analyst at China Citic Bank in Beijing before moving to KPMG as a tax consultant and to NAB as a performance analyst.

Tan has a background in equity and managed funds research, having previously worked as an intern with CIMB Investment Bank and with Lonsec Research as a Graduate Investment Analyst.

Commenting on the appointments, Contango Asset Management chief investment officer, George Boubouras, said that both Wu and Tan were high quality appointments who had important roles to play as the business continued to grow.

Contango Asset Management Limited is a boutique wholesale and LIC fund manager, with mandates across the entire market capitalisation spectrum, and is set to list on the ASX in late September.

The listing follows a management buyout of the company in June, involving chief investment officer, George Boubouras, and an investment vehicle led by James Packer.
