BT appoints new chief investment officer

Former Sunsuper manager Corrin Collcott is stepping up to the role of chief investment officer from his current position as head of diversified portfolios at BT Financial Group, effective immediately.

Collocott joined BT Financial in November 2015 where he has held the role of head of diversified portfolios and is the current acting chief investment officer.

Commenting on the confirmation of Collocott’s appointment, BT general manager of platforms and investments, John Shuttleworth, said: “Corrin’s understanding of the capital markets, portfolio construction and investment managers will allow us to seek every opportunity to boost returns, as well as the flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing market conditions.”

“As the superannuation sector continues to grow while facing into a challenging investment environment it is imperative we have specialist investment services to meet the needs of fund members through all life stages and into retirement.”

Collocott was the former manager -investment strategies at Sunsuper and has previously held the role of senior consultant with Russell Investments and Intech.
