Fortnum Financial Group co-founder and executive chairman, Ray Miles, will step back from the day-to-day running of the advice part of the group with national sales manager Joel Taylor promoted to the newly created role of managing director for Fortnum Financial Advisers.

Taylor will report through to Miles who will oversee the operation of the wider Fortnum group including its research and asset consultancy arm – Innova Asset Management, and technology arm e-Clipse Online.

Miles said it made sense for each part of the Fortnum's three businesses to have its own managing director and the appointment of Taylor will allow him to focus on the group as a whole.

The shift follows the appointment of four new staff with former Shadforth Financial Group regional practice manager and head of client relationship manager Elva Pica appointed to the new position of Fortnum Financial Advisers advice implementation manager.

Former Commonwealth Bank operations analyst, Kristina Coffey has been appointed as licensee relationship manager while Jonathan Burke has been named as technical advice specialist.

Henry Financial Group, managing director, Phil Little will also join Fortnum Financial Advisers in September as business growth manager working on improve the productivity and profitability of existing practices, and recruiting new advisers.
