Assirt

Subscribers can access web-delivered rating reports on managed funds, fund managers, research bulletins, managed funds profiles, as well as sector reports and a monthly portfolio monitor.

Using desktop applicationAssirtLibrary, users can access and analyse funds data, from asset allocation to performance. Assirt declined to disclose fees.

InvestorWeb

At $399, ‘Diamond Membership’ buys individual access toInvestorWeb’s shares and managed funds research, as well as online portfolio, watch list and charting tools.

The shares research includes reports on more than 400 companies, daily analysts’ updates, quarterly market updates, while stock picker, fund picker, dividend/distribution history and live pricing service tools are also available.

Lonsec

For managed fund research only, subscription fees for dealer groups can vary from $650 to $1,000 per proper authority holder, depending on the number of advisers in the group.

For managed fund research for a single adviser, subscription fees are around $1,000. Part of the service included is ‘Investment Perspective’, which reports on significant market and industry changes within 24 hours of any event.

Morningstar

Morningstar’s TotalAccess contains data and ratings on 6,000 funds and includes 100 searchable data and ratings fields.

Retail per user price for TotalAccess is $3,850, while fees are negotiable for dealer groups. AdviserAccess (free with any TotalAccess or Adviser Workstation subscription) gives advisers information on funds, fund manager and fund ratings analysis and data alerts.

AdviserAccess acts as the gateway to Adviser Workstation, which holds fund and qualitative research. Adviser Workstation costs $2,000 per single user, with prices negotiable for dealer groups.

Van Eyk

For stand alone financial planning practices, the iRate Gold subscription containing research, review tools and portfolio construction tool costs $6,000 plus GST.

The Head Office Package (iRate Pro) starts at $10,500 plus GST, and for $1,200 plus GST a shares module can be added to either of those packages.

iRate is a desktop tool accessed through the iRate website, supported by a weekly e-mail newsletter.
