A scholar and a gentleman

Outsider was delighted to learn that his old mate Barry Lambert is being honoured by Countplus by having a Harvard Business School scholarship named after him.

Countplus chief executive, Matthew Rowe announced the scholarship last week on the basis that Bazza is facing impending retirement and that his contribution to the financial services industry needs to be suitably recognised.

Outsider obviously strongly endorses such recognition being given to Lambert, but he reckons Bazza has never been shy and retiring and anyone who thinks that he is really going to fully retire is probably going to be sorely mistaken.

While it is possible Bazza will be significantly reducing the amount of time he spends reading financial services company board papers, Outsider knows that he will be paying very close attention to other endeavours, including the full legalisation of medical cannabis to assist people such as his five-year-old granddaughter, Katelyn.

At one point earlier this year, Bazza was threatening to run for the Senate to better pursue the medicinal cannabis issue and given recent events in Canberra, Outsider reckons the voters of NSW could do worse than have him sitting in the State’s house.
