Brandywine Global Investment Management, a subsidiary of Legg MasonAsset Management, has launched three investment strategies for Australian investors, each keeping in theme with its value driven approach.

The first of the strategies, the Legg Mason Brandywine Global Fixed Income Trust, actively invests in a global portfolio of foreign debt, investment-grade credit and mortgage-backed securities.

The Legg Mason Brandywine Global Opportunistic Fixed Income Trust also actively invests in these areas, but also invests opportunistically in emerging market and high yield debt.

The third strategy to be launched, the Legg Mason Global Value Equity Trust, invests in developed and emerging market equities.

Brandywine Global believes that value investing in both equity and fixed income markets, an approach it has pursued since its inception in 1986, may provide excellent risk adjusted returns over time.
