Financial planning group Centric Wealth has made four new appointments following the merger of the Berkley Group and Centrestone Wealth Advisers.

Jason Holt, formerly manager of FuturePlus Financial Services, has been appointed compliance manager, and will be responsible for the integration of the two businesses. He will report to joint chief executive officer Michael Pillemer.

The former head of BT’s private client business, Paul Zwi, will now take up the role of head of equity research, managing two equity research analysts and reporting to Robert Keavney.

In addition, the Brisbane Riverside practice has appointed financial consultants Peter Connolly and Marc Ahmelman, joining existing planner Tim Marshall. Both will report to Centric joint chief executive Glen Castensen.

Connolly was formerly Queensland state manager of strategic financial planning at Goldman Sachs JBWere, while Ahmelman was employed as a private client adviser at Perpetual.

Castensen said: “We are delighted with the breadth of knowledge and experience that these senior appointments bring to Centric Wealth. We are delighted to welcome professionals of this calibre into the Centric Wealth fold.”
