APA Financial Services and ING Super Concepts have signed an agreement to provide a joint portfolio and fund administration service to the self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs) industry.

The APA Superannuation Service will assist financial advisers with managing their client’s investment and administration needs and will oversee the fund’s tax audits, tax returns, end of financial year accounts and annual compliance report.

Paul May, the general manager of Super Concepts, said the service “brings together Super Concept’s excellence in SMSF administration and technical capabilities and the advanced investment portfolio administration and reporting of APA”.

The service will give advisers the ability to provide a trust deed for their client’s to establish an SMSF and give ongoing technical advice to the client’s SMSF. Using the new service, advisers will help their clients manage their direct shares and range of managed funds.

APA director Steven Rowley said the service would allow financial advisers to provide SMSF advice and strategic investment advice effectively.
