AMP names David Cullen group general counsel
AMP Limited has appointed David Cullen as group general counsel, effective immediately.
Cullen has been with the financial services major since 2004, his first role being senior legal counsel with AMP Capital. He has been acting group general counsel since 30 April.
He has almost 25 years’ experience in law, with roles in the areas of M&A, corporate law and corporate governance, AMP said.
Prior to joining AMP, Cullen worked for law firms Blake Dawson Waldron, Gilbert + Tobin, and also spent two years with the Australian Securities Exchange.
During his time at AMP, Cullen has worked on AMP’s merger with AXA APH and also led the group legal & governance team, before taking on the role of group company secretary & general counsel, governance, in 2013.
Cullen is a fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.
